Weblogs are the natural extension to home pages 1994-style. Instead of static pictures of cats, they are today’s picture of the cats (or garden, or sunset). They’re an online diary, a project management tool, and a place to record progress in whatever you do.
Weblogs can be extremely personal, though this one won’t be. They can be 100% professional, as for example in resume weblogs. This site will use categories to separate those aspects (although since both come from one person, complete separation will never be possible).
What you can expect
I’ll write about those aspects of what I’m doing that I think might be of interest to you.
I’ll write about things that interest me.
Weblogs are for sharing, without knowing who, or indeed whether anyone, will read what you write. Monologues without a guaranteed audience that start and stop and meander back and forth.
