One month to go, and even though Tim says I could\u00adn\u2019t pos\u00adsibly get any big\u00adger than I already am, I know I can and I shall. The bulge in front, that is, rather than the rest of me. Although someone at Pil\u00adates told me of a woman she knew who grew a couple of cen\u00adti\u00admeters due to the lig\u00ada\u00adments stretch\u00ading in late preg\u00adnancy, and she kept that height gain even after the baby was&nbsp;born.<\/p>\n<p>Time does\u00adn\u2019t seem to be going fast for me though, it\u2019s drag\u00adging rather than fly\u00ading. Prob\u00adably much like run\u00adning a mara\u00adthon, where the last few miles or kilo\u00admet\u00aders seem to be much longer than the first few (from what I\u2019ve read, I\u2019ve nev\u00ader run a mara\u00adthon myself). There\u2019s still lots to do before the baby arrives, but the neces\u00adsary stuff has been done (get the old baby clothes out of the stor\u00adage lock\u00ader, get a car seat to bring her home from the hos\u00adpit\u00adal, get the basic child care organ\u00adised for our son). Unlike soft\u00adware pro\u00adjects, which often (or indeed usu\u00adally) take longer than planned, the biggest danger in this pro\u00adject is that the baby decides to come earli\u00ader than expec\u00adted. Get\u00adting all the neces\u00adsary items sor\u00adted out gives a sense of relief, if she does come next week (no, please not next week, not while Tim\u2019s at JavaOne) we have the basics in&nbsp;order.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So now I wait, and grow, and wait some more, and tackle oth\u00ader items on the todo list in the meantime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You\u2019re in the home stretch now, people keep telling me.
