It\u2019s amaz\u00ading how intensely a squirm\u00ading squeal\u00ading bundle can rule your life; right now she\u2019s burbling in the bassin\u00adet, threat\u00aden\u00ading to wake up [and did, so it took a while to actu\u00adally fin\u00adish this short&nbsp;piece].<\/p>\n<p>First off, thanks to all who sent Tim and me con\u00adgrat\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions on the birth. We both appre\u00adci\u00adate it and have saved all the emails to share with her when she\u2019s old enough to appre\u00adci\u00adate&nbsp;them.<\/p>\n<p>The sense of relief that she is finally here, healthy, pink, and strong, is over\u00adwhelm\u00ading. We\u2019re start\u00ading to settle in to the new regime and got a reas\u00adon\u00adable amount of sleep last night; by no means enough of course, but bet\u00adter than it\u2019s been. We\u2019re not think\u00ading about wheth\u00ader the same will hap\u00adpen tonight or any oth\u00ader night in the near future \u2013 we\u2019ll have to see what hap\u00adpens when the time comes. Life has slowed down right now, we\u2019re enjoy\u00ading each moment of peace (wheth\u00ader she\u2019s awake or asleep or feed\u00ading, which is a twi\u00adlight state some\u00adwhere in between), and endur\u00ading each moment of cry\u00ading and frus\u00adtra\u00adtion. It\u2019s a clich\u00e9 to say that each child changes your life; the non-clich\u00e9 part is that you nev\u00ader know how until they\u2019re there.<\/p>\n<p>Reg\u00adu\u00adlar-style post\u00adings will recom\u00admence at some stage, with some\u00adwhat more reg\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adity than in the last few months.
