For\u00adtu\u00adnately there are plu\u00adgins to help, but (as always) there are trade-offs to be&nbsp;made.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When all you want to do is add a pass\u00adword to stop search engines index\u00ading and out\u00adsiders read\u00ading the con\u00adtent, but you also want make it as easy as pos\u00adsible for people to use, there\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/password-protected\/\">Pass\u00adword Pro\u00adtec\u00adted<\/a> plu\u00adgin. As it says, it does\u00adn\u2019t pro\u00adtect the images or oth\u00ader uploaded content.<\/p>\n<p>If you also want to pro\u00adtect the media, you will need to give people an account on the Word\u00adPress site (with user\u00adname and pass\u00adword). Then you can use the htac\u00adcess edits detailed at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idowebdesign.ca\/wordpress\/password-protect-wordpress-attachments\/\">http:\/\/www.idowebdesign.ca\/wordpress\/password-protect-wordpress-attachments\/<\/a>. This works, but in many cases you just don\u2019t want to give lots of people accounts on the sys\u00adtem, or make groups of people share an account. So it\u2019s a trade-off \u2014 how import\u00adant is pass\u00adword-pro\u00adtect\u00ading the images versus the admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion over\u00adhead of user accounts with the asso\u00adci\u00adated username\/password ease of use issues?
