This is not a recipe for pur\u00adists, since a real tapen\u00adade should have anchovies in it, but I did\u00adn\u2019t have any and my fam\u00adily does\u00adn\u2019t like them anyway.<\/p>\n<p>None of the quant\u00adit\u00adies are exact. The sun-dried toma\u00adtoes were loosely packed in the meas\u00adur\u00ading cup and I did\u00adn\u2019t meas\u00adure the olives, just drained the can and tossed them in the food pro\u00adcessor. I did\u00adn\u2019t chop any\u00adthing before put\u00adting it in the food processor.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approx 2 cups black olives (con\u00adtents of one can, 398ml size). I used Cali\u00adfor\u00adni\u00adan black olives since those were in the cup\u00adboard, next time I\u2019ll prob\u00adably use Kala\u00admata olives.<\/li>\n<li>Approx 3\/4 cup oil-packed sun-dried toma\u00adtoes; let most of the oil drip off but not all of&nbsp;it.<\/li>\n<li>5 cloves of garlic.<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp capers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pro\u00adcess in a food pro\u00adcessor until finely chopped.
