He was also one of the review\u00aders and ses\u00adsion chairs I could most rely on when I was chair\u00ading the <span class=\"caps\">XML<\/span> conference.<\/p>\n<p>Norm was one of the reas\u00adons I was happy to join Sun; I\u2019ve always thought his intel\u00adli\u00adgence and integ\u00adrity, along with his depth of know\u00adledge and good humour, reflec\u00adted well on any com\u00adpany that employed him.
