What had been com\u00adplaints of too much money chas\u00ading too few good assets has now turned into the rout of too little money being avail\u00adable to buy any assets, prov\u00ading yet again that there is no intrins\u00adic value to any\u00adthing oth\u00ader than what someone will pay for it. Ice\u00adland, Ukraine, and Hun\u00adgary are being bailed out by the <span class=\"caps\">IMF<\/span>, Japan\u00adese banks are being restruc\u00adtured again, and people are anxiously draw\u00ading par\u00adal\u00adlels with the great depres\u00adsion and con\u00advin\u00adcing them\u00adselves that this set of cir\u00adcum\u00adstances is dif\u00adfer\u00adent enough for safety.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And in the mean\u00adtime, the sun is shin\u00ading, while the autumn leaves are fall\u00ading and make sat\u00adis\u00adfy\u00ading crisp sounds when you walk on them. I showed off my latest pro\u00adject at a Sun-intern\u00adal con\u00adfer\u00adence last week, got lots of good feed\u00adback, and am hav\u00ading a lot of fun work\u00ading with a great team of people. It almost seems sur\u00adreal, this exper\u00adi\u00adence of real work and life placed against the back\u00addrop of what\u2019s brought on the news as often as you can stand to watch or listen to&nbsp;it.<\/p>\n<p>We cer\u00adtainly do live in inter\u00adest\u00ading&nbsp;times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The news has been almost uni\u00adformly bad, these last couple of months.
