Up till now we\u2019ve man\u00adaged with phone calls and email and wikis and occa\u00adsion\u00adal phys\u00adic\u00adal meet\u00adings, but with travel budgets being cut, I\u2019d like to explore oth\u00ader ways of col\u00adlab\u00ador\u00adat\u00ading that give more of the \u201cgroup clustered around a white\u00adboard\u201d feel when we need it. It is often the case that group dis\u00adcus\u00adsions lead to bet\u00adter designs and bet\u00adter ideas than indi\u00advidu\u00adals alone tend to come up with; how do we make those group dis\u00adcus\u00adsions work bet\u00adter when we can\u00ad\u2019t all attend one phys\u00adic\u00adal meet\u00ading? What tools, or books, or best prac\u00adtices exist that I haven\u2019t heard of yet? Wikis have many uses in multi-loc\u00ada\u00adtion soft\u00adware devel\u00adop\u00adment, but they don\u2019t give that spark that I\u2019m look\u00ading for.
