The sad\u00addest is a point\u00ader to the <span class=\"caps\">BBC<\/span> story of ex-Pres\u00adid\u00adent Carter\u00ad\u2019s con\u00adten\u00adtion that Flor\u00adida does not ful\u00adfill inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal require\u00adments for a fair elec\u00adtion. Since Flor\u00adida has so many votes asso\u00adci\u00adated with it, it is a determ\u00adin\u00ading factor in the <span class=\"caps\">US<\/span> elec\u00adtion, and any wor\u00adries that it is not going to fairly reflect the will of the elect\u00ador\u00adate there will cause con\u00adcerns about the fair\u00adness of the elec\u00adtion overall.<\/p>\n<p>The oth\u00ader issue is that it appears that polling organ\u00adiz\u00ada\u00adtions are no longer com\u00ading up with num\u00adbers that can be trus\u00adted. When two polls in the same state come up with com\u00adpletely dif\u00adfer\u00adent num\u00adbers, neither poll can be trus\u00adted. Although this is bad news for the trust\u00adwor\u00adthi\u00adness of the polling agen\u00adcies, per\u00adhaps over\u00adall it\u2019s good news? If instant polls don\u2019t work, and polls in gen\u00ader\u00adal are dis\u00adcred\u00adited, one can always hope that one out\u00adcome will be politi\u00adcians who do what they think is right for the major\u00adity of the people, rather than what will earn them a short-term blip in the polls.
