Here are some of the pho\u00adtos I took in Hong Kong, in Feb\u00adru\u00adary 2009. I was plan\u00adning on writ\u00ading more about it, describ\u00ading the pho\u00adtos, but some\u00adhow life got in the way. So here they are, without much in the way of embel\u00adlish\u00adment. The things that caught my eye: mostly con\u00adtrasts. I was fas\u00adcin\u00adated by the con\u00adtrast between the old and the new, old build\u00adings reflec\u00adted in shiny new win\u00addows, cats sit\u00adting in stores calmly watch\u00ading the bustle in the street out\u00adside, the rick\u00adety old ferry in the reclaimed har\u00adbour, palm trees and gar\u00addens over\u00adshad\u00adowed by sky\u00adscrapers whose tops are lost in the clouds. A fas\u00adcin\u00adat\u00ading city, I\u2019d like to go back some time.<\/p>\n
