North\u00adern Voice is proof that there are cer\u00adtain con\u00adfer\u00adence con\u00adcepts that don\u2019t need a high degree of form\u00adal\u00adity, in fact the concept of per\u00adson\u00adal blog\u00adging is, I think, dia\u00admet\u00adric\u00adally opposed to too much form\u00adal\u00adity, so as  a mem\u00adber of the organ\u00adising group (plan\u00adning com\u00admit\u00adtee seems a bit, ah, form\u00adal a term) I\u2019ve always been on the side of \u201ckeep it simple, keep it informal\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laurenwood.org\/anyway\/2005\/02\/northern-voice\/\">Last year\u2019s event<\/a> was a lot of fun and people seemed to really enjoy them\u00adselves. So this year we\u2019re put\u00adting a <em>Moose Camp<\/em> on the day before the con\u00adfer\u00adence itself, where people can organ\u00adise them\u00adselves into groups to dis\u00adcuss whatever they want to dis\u00adcuss that\u2019s related in some way to per\u00adson\u00adal blog\u00adging. Dead\u00adline for speak\u00ader sub\u00admis\u00adsions (we need to have some form\u00adal\u00adity!) is Novem\u00adber 16, Moose camp is on Feb\u00adru\u00adary 10, the con\u00adfer\u00adence is on Feb\u00adru\u00adary 11 and all the oth\u00ader dates are on the web site. Yes, we still have the moose logo, although the col\u00adours are dif\u00adfer\u00adent. Yes, we\u2019re plan\u00adning on hav\u00ading more t\u2011shirts next year. No, we don\u2019t yet know who the key\u00adnote speak\u00aders will be. Maybe we won\u2019t have key\u00adnote speak\u00aders, we\u2019ll fig\u00adure that out when we see the speak\u00ader sub\u00admis\u00adsions and see what sort of pro\u00adgram we can build.
